BATL Royale #1 Rule Adjustments
Majority Clutch: For a Clutch to count in BATL Royale #1, the majority of the big axe blade must be situated within the paint of the clutch circle, similar to the majority rules we employ when measuring regular hatchet throws for 1s, 3s, or bullseyes. The portions of the axe blade outside the clutch circle but still touching the target surface will be measured and added together to be measured against the total blade within the clutch when determining if the Clutch is valid.
No Bleed Points: All point values must be 100% within the outer edge of their paint circle. If even a millimeter of blade crosses into a lower value, this axe will be scored as the lower value point affected. (ie: A majority bullseye with the blade slightly crossing into the 3 during the BATL Royale #1 tournament will be worth 3 points. A 3 with blade crossing into the 1 is worth 1 point, and a 1 with any part of the blade outside the target is considered worth 0 points). Paint is considered part of the point value it represents (ie: A blade that is 100% in black paint, with no bleed into the 3, would be considered worth 5 points, and so on for each value). There must, however, paint on both sides of the blade for this to be counted (ie: A blade that is straddling the black line of the bullseye but shows even a hair of clean target on its outer side would be considered worth 3 points).
