NATF member PTBO Axe Club was recently featured in Kawartha Now. The article stated that the they are "..sending six players to participate in the final round of the National Axe Throwing Championships on Sunday, February 18th in Toronto." The league throwers representing the axe throwing venue include; Evan Flak, Ken Smith, Chris Proctor-Bennett, Jamie “The Rooster” de Haan, Mark Hoar, and Phoenix Parkin. They participated in the tournament, which pits the top 128 throwers against each other in a double elimination playoff bracket.

The NATF and our members were recently featured on CBS Philly, where they stated that "Seventeen Philadelphia residents, who are regulars at Urban Axes in Kensington, will be taking part in the National Axe Throwing Championship this Sunday in Toronto."
They talked about the strength and support of the event, by quoting Gelatko and Rigger from Urban Axes that said that one of the special things about this tournament is even though there is only one winner, everyone roots each other on and supports each other.

Attention NATC finalist! The matchups are set for Round 2 of the NATC happening Sunday, February 18 in Toronto.
Sign in and practice begins at 9am with the tournament starting at 10am sharp. There will be three practice throws before everyone's first match of the day, so be sure to arrive at 9am if you want a good warm up. Big axe lanes will also be available for practice from 9am - 10 am at both venues.
Round 2 will take place at BATL Toronto East (Villiers) and BATL Toronto North (Yorkdale) and spectators are welcome at no additional charge.
All competitors be sure to check this link to see where you will be starting the tournament, as well as your first opponent.
Please note, based on a rule change posted after last year's tournament, the 2017 NATC Champion will enter the round 2 bracket ranked by their Champions Points and no longer takes the automatic first seed. We apologize for any related confusion. The tournament bracket is now finalized.
