The 2018 All-Star Weekend presented by Beau's All Natural Brewing Co. and the National Axe Throwing Championship (NATC) in Toronto was recently featured on Spectrum News Austin.
Nathan Ford from Urban Axes Austin described the NATC as "... one of those thing where I’m trying to mitigate my expectations. I’m trying to get as good as I can to represent myself as well as I can but I also don’t want to get my hopes up too high and think that I’ll be able to defeat some of these guys who have been playing for years and have gotten really good at the sport."
The winner of the tournament will take home the Wilson Cup and a $7,500 cash prize.
Congratulations to Riot Axe for being featured in “The City Builders” issue of Toque LTD magazine! Check out the full article here https://goo.gl/Snp3MS.

The website www.eater.com recently featured NATF members in the article "Ax-Throwing Bars, Explained" and explained how the Canadian pastime of axe throwing has made it's way to the United States.
NATF members BATL, The Backyard Axe Throwing League, Detroit Axe and Urban Axes were featured in the article to describe the history, popularity and safety of the sport.
The article helps describe the axe throwing experience by stating "it’s an indoor space designed to allow people to throw axes (or hatchets, their smaller counterparts) at wooden targets. Often with drinks and, sometimes, food." Eater.com also describes that people are looking for something new and fun to do, and axe throwing fits that need. We couldn't agree more.
