The NATF has grown immensely since our inception in 2016, as the governing body for the sport of competitive axe throwing.
With over 4500 league members, representing 31 best-in-class urban axe throwing locations and the most skilled axe throwers in the world, it's pretty incredible to reflect on as we close out 2018, and we couldn't be more excited for the year to come.
Axescores has tracked over 25 million axes and we have only just scratched the surface in how we plan to bring you all the most detailed stats as well as player, and league, comparisons.
2018 showed us how many of you are ready and excited to travel across the country to compete and we can't wait to bring you four major tournaments in 2019 with varying prize money and styles of entry. Competition is at an all-time high with records being broken all the time in both skills comps and league play.
A special shout out to Straun Riley - winner of the Wison Cup in an incredible final vs. Aaron Gerard to claim victory in this year's National Axe Throwing Championship.
We have been able to make some major hires to support the growth of the NATF and there will be an announcement about an NATF president role in the coming weeks, who will be an absolute game changer for the sport having worked previously in senior roles in both MLS and the NBA.
This is all due to your continued support of the sport of axe throwing and your desire to compete at the highest level.
I thank you for your part in making this a transformational year for NATF. As we continue growing our community and promoting the sport of axe throwing, we will continue pushing to bring it to the next level in 2019! - Matt Wilson
